Meg Ryan Makes Her Directorial Debut With Her Latest, Ithaca
We loved her in hit romantic comedy films such as: You Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, and Harry Met Sally,the famous Meg Ryan is finally back on the big screen. The best part, Tom Hanks is beside her.
Meg Ryan made her director debut with the film 'ITHACA', which is based off the novel "The Human comedy" byWilliam Saroyan.
It's a coming-of-age story about the exuberance of youth, the abruptness of change, the sweetness of life, the sting of death, and the sheer goodness that lives in each and every one of us.
While the plot may be a bit weak it does have a 'somewhat' all-star cast: Starring Academy Award® Nominee Sam Shepard (August: Osage County, The Right Stuff), Hamish Linklater (The Big Short, “The Crazy Ones”), Golden Globe® Nominee Meg Ryan (You’ve Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally), Alex Neustaedter (Shovel Buddies), Jack Quaid (The Hunger Games, “Vinyl”) & Academy Award® Winner Tom Hanks (Bridge of Spies, Captain Phillips).
The film is executive produced by: Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks, Robert Immerman, Steven R. Palmisano, Scott Setrakian, Jason Cloth, Allan Simpson, and Aaron L. Gilbert.
