Mercedes Benz USA and African-American Film Critics Association Gather at The Four Seasons to Celebrate The Academy Awards

Celebrating the past year in film, the Academy Awards, reflect on celebrating the milestones and achievements over the previous year in film. No ticket to the actual award show, no problem - celebrities took to the many prestigious viewing parties held around town, one of them being the Mercedes- Benz USA (MBUSA) and African -American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) viewing party.

Held at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills many celebrities joined to celebrate one of the biggest nights in film. MBUSA, known for offering top-tier and not to mention innovative creations when it comes to their diverse lineup of luxury vehicles with 15 model lines teamed up with the AAFCA in order to deliver a unique and memorable event for a celebratory occasion. AAFCA, a premiere organization of African-American film media professionals founded in 2003, honors excellence in cinema in black communities while supporting the development of future black film critics and filmmakers.

When asked her thoughts of diversity in film and her thoughts on if actors were underrepresented at the Academy Awards she responded: 

"The Oscars reflect movies that are being made. I'm glad for the attention for the executives to see how lucrative movies are that have diverse casts in them," she explained. Movies need to catch up with television, because television is a lot more diverse."

In addition to the many film critics and supporters in attendance other celebrities were: Jamie Foxx, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Wesley Snipes, Thandie Newton,Kenya Moore, Beverly Johnson, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Isaiah Mustafa, Dale Godboldo, Tamala Jones, Jimmy Jean Louis, Johnny Whitworth, Desmond Faison, Anthony Hemingway, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Regina Taylor,Adina Porter, Angel Parker, Navid Negahban, Alain Wasnhevsky, and more.

Guests were able to enjoy light bites and cocktails throughout the evening and also cast their votes for Oscar predictions and enjoy the interactive photo booth. It was a great evening for a celebratory occasion. Congratulations to the nominees and cheers to the winners of the 88th Academy Awards!
