Mercedes-Benz Evolution Tour - DJ Ruckus and Bastille Put on Intimate Performance at the Hollywood Palladium
Mercedes-Benz is bringing back the Evolution Tour, and part of that tour is in Los Angeles! Bringing live music, art installations by Gregory Siff and Zio Ziegler, in addition to showcasing the newest luxury vehicles from Mercedes-Benz all under one roof. For its the second installment the tour made its stop at the Hollywood Palladium, where DJ Ruckus and Bastille put on an intimate show!
Opening the evening was DJ Ruckus which put on a high energy set and definitely got attendees ready for Bastille. Guests were able to: get camera ready by making a stop at the 'selfie-station' and fill up on snacks by KIND bars and Skinny Pop popcorn, as well as checking out the GLA and CLA, two compact luxury vehicles designed to appeal to the next generation of Mercedes-Benz customers.
Bastille, and English indie band formed in 2010, stepped on the stage at 9:30 and performed songs from their album Bad Blood which was released in 2014. Composed of: Dan Smith (lead vocals, keyboard, piano), Kyle Simmons (keyboard, percussion, bass guitar), Will Farquarson (guitar, keyboards, bass guitar), and Chris "Woody" Woods (drums, percussion), Bastille played hits such as: "Bad Blood", "Pompeii", and even had their on take on the TLC classic - "No Scrubs"!
Following a successful 2014 launch, this year's tour continues to highlight the intrinsic bond between music and cars. It was another great performance and I can't wait till the next Mercedes-Benz Evolution tour!
